The legend goes: A woman ate delicious "Neiman-Marcus Cookies" while out for lunch at Neiman Marcus. They were so excellent that she asked if they would give her the recipe. The waitress said it was a secret recipe, but she could buy it for " two fifty". The woman said "great deal! Just add it to my tab". Thirty days later, she received her VISA statement from Neiman-Marcus and it was $250! She tried to get them to take off the charge, but they refused. So she made sure to share their “secret” recipe. It was sent to as many people as possible.
(Recipe may be halved)
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar

1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
